Matthias Braun-3
The Department of Geography and Geosciences at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, invites applications for two postdoc/senior scientist positions. Position 1 (2 years) is in the framework of a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and aims at the derivation of elevation changes across mountain regions from the bi-static SAR mission TanDEM-X and other DEMs. Position 2 (3 years) targets the derivation of supra-glacial melt water patterns from earth observation data in north-eastern Greenland and is embedded in the framework of a larger interdisciplinary consortium. Latter position is subject to the final funding confirmation by the German Ministry of Research (BMBF).

A PhD in remote sensing / geoinformatics, geophysics, physical geography or related disciplines is required as well as knowledge of SAR remote sensing and scientific programming.

Applications are welcome until the positions are filled. Preferred starting dates are May 2017.
