51st ESLAB: ‘Extreme HabitableWorlds’ Abstract Deadline Extension and Young Researcher Awards

Dear Colleague,

The abstract deadline for the 51st ESLAB Symposium: ‘Extreme Habitable Worlds’ is extended to allow additional time for abstract preparation. The revised deadline is <a href="http://airmail.calendar/2017-07-24 12:00:00 CEST">Monday 24 July 2017.

Submissions that adhere to the abstract template and guidelines will be admitted for review by the Science Organising Committee. To submit an abstract via the online system please visit the Symposium abstract submission page:

We are pleased to also announce that a number of Young Researcher Awards will be funded by the ESLAB 51 Symposium, COSPAR & ILEWG. These awards, presented at the Symposium, will recognise outstanding young researchers and will include grants of EUR 200. Winners will be announced after abstract acceptance by the end of September 2017, and will be selected based on the following assessment and eligibility criteria:

1)   Applicants must be aged between 18 – 35 years, and hold an active student status (Undergraduate, Masters, PhD).
2)   The content of the applicant’s associated first author submission should demonstrate excellence in their area of research.
3)   Awardees will be selected also on the basis of their diversity in experience, nationality, future potential and relevance to ESLAB 51 and sponsors.

Potential candidates are invited to apply by addressing a request for consideration to the chairs of the Science and Local Organising Committees: B. H. Foing and E. Sefton-Nash. In addition, the request should include a copy of a 1-page CV of the applicant. Please send applications by email to: [hidden email]

The deadline for applications for Young Researcher Awards is the revised abstract deadline, <a href="http://airmail.calendar/2017-07-24 12:00:00 CEST">Monday 24 July. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
