AGU 2019: Multi-decadal to centennial variability in ice sheets and sea level - Please submit an abstract!
On behalf of the conveners, I’d like to draw your attention to the following AGU session:
Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session:
Session ID: 76741
Session Title:Multi-decadal to centennial variability in ice sheets and sea level Section: Cryosphere
Understanding the drivers behind multi-decadal to centennial-scale variability in ice sheets and sea level is crucial when planning for a warming world. However, the magnitude
and timing of the response of ice sheets to past climatic changes remains poorly understood. This makes attribution of the causes of episodic and secular changes in mass balance, and their associated contribution to sea level change, challenging.
We invite abstracts that present observational investigations and/or modelling studies to advance understanding of the periodicity of ice sheet/stream/shelf response
to past, present or future climate forcing. Submissions may also include studies of multi-decadal to centennial-scale variability in sea level and attribution of its drivers.
