This week's webinar (on Tuesday, 22 March 2011) is entitled "Scientific Education Outreach” and will be presented by Elena Sparrow, Education Outreach Director, International
Arctic Research Center, and Research Professor, School of Natural
Resources and Agricultural Sciences, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Education and public outreach has become an increasingly necessary
component of a scientific career whether in academia or in industry.
This webinar will give an overview and examples of different types of
education outreach that you can incorporate in your work as well as in
research proposals for funding.
We will be using Adobe Connect Pro software to conduct these webinars
which requires Abode Flash Player installed on participants'
computers. If your computer doesn't already have Adobe Flash
installed, visit http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
This webinar series is a collaborative effort between APECS, the
University of Canterbury, and the U.S. National Science Foundation
