NSIDC USO
Dear Colleague,

You are invited to the upcoming NASA Earthdata Webinar, "NASA Operation IceBridge: Come Discover a Decade of Polar Data" to be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2pm EDT (UTC/GMT-4).

Brief Description:
NASA’s Operation IceBridge airborne mission has flown over 700 flights through some of the most stunning regions of the Arctic and Antarctic. Join us to discover and learn how to access data that “bridges” the gap between the ICESat and ICESat-2 missions.

Speaker: Steve Tanner, Operation IceBridge Data Manager, NASA NSIDC DAAC

Steve Tanner is currently the Operation IceBridge Data Manager at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC). He joined NSDIC in 2013, and is also the Data Manager for the related ICESat-2 Mission expected to launch in September 2018.   Steve received a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Colorado in Boulder before moving to Alabama and receiving a Masters from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).  While in Huntsville, he led a computer science research laboratory for Boeing’s Phantom Works, before joining UAH’s Information Technology and Systems Center which supports NASA’s Global Hydrology Resource Center.
