Associate Professor position at ILTS, Hokkaido University

Dear colleagues,

The Institute of Low Temperature Science (ILTS), Hokkaido University,
Sapporo, Japan, opens an associate professor position in the field of
ice cores and snow/ice studies. Job details in the position announcement
are as below.

The successful applicant should have demonstrated abilities to be an
excellent researcher and have high research productivity with the
potential to lead new and innovative research programs. This includes
publishing results regularly in high-impact journals and actively
seeking funding in support of research. He or she is expected to conduct
research on ice cores and snow/ice properties related to
climate/environment changes, water/material cycles and paleoenvironment
reconstructions. The applicant is expected to understand the role of the
inter-university activity of ILTS. He or she is required to carry out
education-related duties in the Graduate School of Environment in
Hokkaido University and supervise graduate students. He or she should
hold a PhD degree. The conditions of employment will follow university
regulations, and the starting date should be the earliest possible date.
