Call for Nominations for the Leadership Group of the SOOS West Antarctic Peninsula and Scotia Arc (WAPSA) Regional Working Group

The WAPSA Regional Working Group of the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) is inviting nominations for new members of its Leadership Group. The Leadership Group supports the Group Co-Chairs in driving the activities and strategic oversight of the working group, including working towards the objectives of the Working Group, identifying opportunities for further collaborations and funding, and representing the Working Group at national and international meetings. The Leadership group aims to include representation from across the main nations working in the region, and diversity in expertise, career level and gender. Nominations and self-nominations of researchers from all nations undertaking observational research in the WAP and Scotia Arc regions will be considered. For full Terms of Participation of the Leadership Group, please see here <http://soos.aq/images/soos/activities/rwg/RWG-ParticipationTerms2020.pdf>.

The WAPSA RWG is currently led by Co-Chairs Kate Hendry (UK), Sian Henley (UK), Oscar Schofield (USA) and Juan Hofer (Chile). If you are interested in nominating or self-nominating for the Leadership Group, please email your CV and a brief Letter of Interest to Kate, Sian, Oscar and Juan by the 30th September 2020.
