The deadline for abstracts is fast approaching for the 4th International
Geologica Belgica Meeting 2012 (GB2012) celebrating the centenary of the
first paper on the concept of moving continents published by Alfred
Wegener (Wegener, 1912), who died at the age of 50 during an expedition
in Greenland.

The conference will be held in Brussels from 11 tot 14 September and is
centred around the theme:

MOVING PLATES AND MELTING ICECAPS: Processes and forcing factors in geology

Two sessions are of particular interest for the glaciological community:

Session 1. Antarctica's contribution to past and future sea-level change
Conveners: Frank Pattyn (Universit? de Bruxelles, Belgium), Mike Bentley
(University of Durham, UK)

Session 2. Greenland's contribution to past and future sea-level change
Conveners: Philippe Huybrechts (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium),
Antony Long (University of Durham, UK)

Invited keynote speaker is Glenn Milne (University of Ottawa, Canada)

Abstract submission for the GB2012 meeting is now open and online on the
website. The abstract submission deadline is the 1st of May 2012. The
