Dear all,

Please consider submitting an abstract to AGU session *C028: Ocean
interactions with glaciers and ice shelves* to be held at this year's
fall meeting (3-7 December 2012).

Session description:

"Interactions between the ocean and glacial ice at the marine margins of
ice sheets and ice caps influence ice sheet mass balance, ocean
circulation, and global sea level. The recent surge in studies of
ice-ocean interactions highlights the need for novel measurements and
models, improved communication between oceanographers and glaciologists,
and sharing of ideas between researchers focused on different regions.
This session seeks to foster new ties between researchers to accelerate
progress in studies of relevant processes. We invite papers on all
aspects of ocean interactions with glacial ice, particularly those
making pioneering measurements, reporting novel applications of models
and theory, and synthesizing results from diverse systems."

We are especially encouraging of abstract submissions that transcend
regional boundaries and/or that highlight important similarities and
differences between different regions.

We hope to see you in San Francisco.

Regards,
Jason Amundson (jason.amundson at uas.alaska.edu)
Kelly Brunt (kmbrunt at gmail.com)
Helen Fricker (hafricker at ucsd.edu)
Dave Sutherland (dsuth at uoregon.edu)
