Digitized glacier maps

World Glacier Monitoring Service
Dear Cryolist-subscriber,

In collaboration with the library of the Department of Geography,
University of Zurich, Switzerland, the WGMS scanned all glacier maps
published in the annex of the Fluctuations of Glaciers series (PSFG 1967,
1973, 1977, 1985; WGMS 1988, 1993, 1998, 2005, 2008).

An overview of the more than 100 maps including quick-looks (.jpg) and
accompanying texts (.pdf) are available from our website:
http://www.wgms.ch/fog_maps.html

From this webpage, scanned high-resolution map tiles in TIF format can be
ordered by email too.

Please make use of the new digital access to these historical maps and
related meta-information!

Kind regards

Michael Zemp (WGMS) and Gary Seitz (GIUZ Library)

PS Sincere thanks go to Sara W├╝rmli and Bouakhai Oanmany who were involved
in the scanning and making available of these maps.
