EGU 2018: Connecting soil and ecosystem measurements across scales in high-latitudes

Matthias Siewert
Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to our session at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2018 (EGU 2018). EGU will be held on the 8-13th April 2018 in Vienna, Austria.

Session title:
Connecting soil and ecosystem measurements across scales in high-latitudes (BG2.39)

Conveners: Matthias Siewert, Alevtina Evgrafova , Juri Palmtag

This session invites studies from different disciplines, including soil science, geomorphology, ecology and remote sensing, that focus on high-latitude, permafrost and periglacial ecosystem variability and aim to connect different scales of investigation. This includes related challenges in process understanding, sampling design, mapping and geostatistics.

If you try to connect small scale field experiments with earth system models, or drone imagery with circumpolar vegetation or permafrost patterns, then this session should be interesting for you.

Submission deadline is the 10th of January. If you want to apply for travel support the submission deadline is the 1st December.
