With the end-of-year holidays over and many of the cold, dark winter days still ahead of us, what better time to plan a visit to the 2018 European Geosciences Union General Assembly, to be held in Vienna, Austria, during the week of 8-13 April 2018?
The deadline for abstract submission is fast approaching, next Wednesday, 10 January 2018, at 13:00 CET.
You will have seen many emails already, highlighting aspects of the diverse scientific programme, but we would like to draw your attention to a session co-organised by the Cryospheric Sciences and Ocean Sciences divisions on:
Ice shelves and tidewater glaciers - dynamics, interactions, observations, modelling
Ice shelves and tidewater glaciers are sensitive elements of the climate system. Sandwiched between atmosphere and ocean, they are vulnerable to changes in either.
For a flavour of what to expect, take a look at last year's oral (http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2017/orals/22820) and poster (http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2017/posters/22820) programmes.
We hope to have an equally exciting programme this year and look forward to receiving contributions.
We hope to see you in Vienna.
Kind regards from the CR5.4/OS1.16 convenors,
