EGU2012 session TS4.2/GM3.4 : Glaciation as a control on mountain building and topography

Pierre Valla
Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to consider submitting a contribution to session TS4.2/GM3.4 "Glaciation as a control on mountain building and topography" to be held at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly, 22-27 April 2012 in Vienna, Austria.

The session information is below:
The spatial and temporal evolution of glacial erosion and its effect on topography can be quantified by a variety of techniques. This session addresses how the integration of different techniques and approaches can aid in quantifying glacial erosion Earth. We welcome field-based and modeling studies as well as contributions that integrate intermediate to long time scale data such as: low-temperature thermochronology, cosmogenic nuclides or other geochemical studies. Multidisciplinary studies as well as innovative approaches are encouraged.

Invited speakers: Vivi Pedersen (Univ. of Aarhus), Gerard Roe (Univ. of Washington), Dirk Scherler (Univ. of Potsdam)

Go to http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2012/session/9416 for submitting your abstract.

Note the important deadline is the 17th of January 2012 for abstract submission.

Looking forward to meet you in Vienna!
