Glaciology PhD opportunity in Aberdeen

The School of Geosciences, University of Aberdeen, UK, is currently inviting applications for a NERC algorithm Ph.D. studentship. Two of the advertised projects are in glaciology. Please circulate to potential suitable candidates, and note the approaching deadline.

Quantifying basal controls on ice-stream motion using remotely-sensed evidence from contemporary and palaeo subglacial environments

Surface-melt induced changes to basal drag index across the Greenland Ice Sheet

The entry requirements are an Honours degree at 2.1 or above in a subject relevant to the discipline to which you are applying.
