Graduate Course: Isotope Tracers in Catchment Hydrology

Dumanski, Stacey

*Sent on behalf of Jeff McDonnell*

Dear Colleagues,

The Global Institute for Water Security and School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan are offering a condensed graduate course on “Isotope Tracers in Catchment Hydrology”. This course runs May 14-18, 2018 and is offered for credit (3 cu), audit (open to Canadian University Students) or as a virtual workshop (to anyone nationally or internationally).

The course will focus on the measurement, tracing, and linkage of light isotope abundances in and among hydrologic and biological components of earth system at the catchment scale. We will specifically consider the application of stable isotope investigative tools to a variety of hydrological situations, ranging from water cycle dynamics, bio- and geochemical processes, nutrients and contamination, to isotope ecology.

Please go to the website www.usask.ca/watershed/teaching to register.

Sincerely,

Jeff McDonnell
