IGS British Branch Meeting

Scott, Julian B T
Dear all

The annual International Glaciological Society British Branch Meeting is taking place at the British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th September 2011.

This is an informal two-day meeting at which presentations are welcome on all aspects of ice and snow research. Postgraduate students in particular are welcome to attend and present their work. The meeting will consist of both oral and poster presentation sessions. Delegates are also encouraged to register for the annual dinner, which will take place at Selwyn College on the Wednesday evening. Accommodation will also be available at Selwyn College, starting at £47 for bed and breakfast on a first come first served basis. There may be some accommodation available through arrangements with local students although places will be limited, further details will be posted on the meeting website as soon as possible.

The meeting webpage is now running http://www.antarctica.ac.uk/about_bas/events/igs2011/index.php and we hope to make online registration available by the end of May with a registration deadline of Wednesday 6th July. Abstract submissions will be accepted until Friday 22nd July. Please check the website and further announcements will be made when online registration is available.

Best wishes and look forward to welcoming you to Cambridge in September
