Ice Sheet System Model (ISSM) Workshop at JPL (Pasadena, CA, USA) December 12th and 13th (after the AGU San Francisco Fall Meeting)

Larour, Eric (329C)
Dear colleagues,

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of California at Irvine are proud to announce
the release of ISSM (Ice Sheet System Model, http://issm.jpl.nasa.gov), the ice sheet modeling
software developed in the last 5 years under funding by JPL R&TD, NASA Cryospheric
and MAP programs and more recently the NSF Eager program.

The software will be released in the public domain under an open source license. To coincide
with the release, the ISSM team is organizing a Workshop at JPL that  will feature science
talks centered around the capabilities of ISSM, such as inverse methods, higher-order modeling and
parallel computing, and also classes and tutorials for beginners/users/power users and developers
who are interested in learning modeling using ISSM.

The workshop will take place at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, on Monday
December 12th and Tuesday 13th, right after the AGU fall meeting. To register, go to

We hope this workshop will generate fruitful interactions between our team and a growing
community of ISSM users.

Thank you in advance for your interest!

Regards,

The ISSM team ([hidden email] )
