Job: Postdoc in Modelling Climate-Ice Sheet Interactions

Lauren Gregoire

Are you an ambitious climate, ice sheet or surface mass balance modeller looking for your next challenge? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

We’ve just re-opened a postdoc position in modelling climate-ice sheet interactions at the University of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ice sheet modeller interested in one of these cool topics: surface mass balance, ice sheet instabilities, sea level rise, climate-ice sheet interactions, model uncertainty, emulation or linking the past and the future.

You will join a team of climate and ice sheet scientists and statisticians as part of a prestigious and exciting 7-year project that will provide robust estimates of ‘worst case’ future sea level rise using information from the past when ice sheets became unstable.

The position is initially for 2.5 years but can be extended (funding is already in place).

Closing date for external applicants is 17th September: http://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/ENVEE1340

Full details are in the Candidate Brief (see link at the bottom of the page) and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to know more. Don’t be shy!
