This is an opportunity for an energetic and committed individual to join a dynamic, expanding department focused on addressing human-environment interactions of local, regional and global importance. The Department is seeking applicants with outstanding potential in research and teaching in Physical Geography. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in either hydrology or biogeography.
For this position, the successful applicant must hold a PhD degree in Geography, and have some lecturing experience in Physical Geography. The successful applicant is expected to have an excellent research record, and the capacity to successfully apply for research funding. We are looking for an individual able to provide high-quality teaching and learning opportunities that will inspire student achievement and support a strong postgraduate research programme in the candidate’s area of expertise. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate the ability to supervise postgraduate students. Excellent skills in organisation, oral and written communication are necessary.
