NASA IceBridge open town hall meeting at AGU next week

Studinger, Michael (GSFC-614.1)[Affiliate]

Dear Colleagues,

If you are in San Francisco next week please join us at the IceBridge town hall meeting:

NASA Operation IceBridge Open Town Hall Meeting

Tuesday, December 6th  from 12:30 - 13:30

Location: San Francisco Marriott Marquis

Room: Golden Gate C3

Agenda:

·         NASA Cryosphere Sciences Program (Tom Wagner, NASA HQ, Program Manager)

·         Operation IceBridge update (Michael Studinger, NASA GSFC, Project Scientist)

·         IceBridge Science Team updates  (Ken Jezek and Jackie Richter-Menge, co-chairs IST)

·         IceBridge data management (Jeff Walter, NASA GSFC)

·         IceBridge data at NSIDC (Marilyn Kaminski, NSIDC)

·         Open discussion: questions and answers, community feedback

The ICECAP campaign with its IceBridge component is still underway in East Antarctica. But it’s safe to say that 2011 was a record year for IceBridge. We have deployed a total of 6 different aircraft with 16 science instruments in 2011 and the outlook for 2012 is very good.

Looking forward to see many of you at AGU next week,

Michael
