NERC DTP-funded PhDs in Geography at the University of Sheffield

We have two ice-y PhD projects currently advertised in Geography at the University of Sheffield with competitive funding through our NERC Doctoral Training Partnership ‘Adapting to the Challenges of a Changing Environment' (ACCE). You are welcome to contact the lead supervisor if you are interested in applying for one of these projects, or to pass the adverts on to your students.

1. Life on ice: how do hydrology and biology drive glacial melting?
Lead supervisor: Dr Andrew McGonigle. Co-Supervisors: Dr David Rippin, Dr Joseph Cook, Dr Robert Bryant

2. Storage and release of legacy atmospheric pollutants from mountain glaciers
Lead supervisor: Dr Ann Rowan. Co-Supervisors: Dr David Rippin, Dr Emma Wharfe, Prof Andy Hodson, Dr Andrew Smith
