Northwest Glaciologists Meeting and PISM workshop

Martin Truffer
Dear Cryolist members,

this year's meeting of the Northwest Glaciologists will take place on
8/9 October 2010 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. As usual, no
abstracts are required. But it would help planning if you can let us
know if you're planning to attend (please email Bob McNabb
([hidden email])).
More information can be found at:
http://glaciers.gi.alaska.edu/events/northwest/

The esteemed Matthew Sturm has offered to lead a tour of the permafrost
tunnel on 10 October.

In addition, preceding the meeting, we would like to offer a two-day
workshop on the use of the open-source Parallel Ice Sheet Model (PISM).
You can become an ice sheet modeler in just two days! For more
information see:
http://glaciers.gi.alaska.edu/events/pism and contact Andy Aschwanden
([hidden email])

Hope to see many of you

On behalf of the Fairbanks team

Martin Truffer
