Opportunity for an internship with the Global Cryosphere Watch – World Meteorological Organization (WMO)

 

WMO is looking for a young professional to join the Global Cryosphere Watch office for a period of 4 months with possibility of extension. The announcement and the application links are posted at https://erecruit.wmo.int/public/hrd-cl-vac-view.asp?jobinfo_uid_c=36954&vaclng=en

 

The successful candidate would undertake the following duties:
Assist in the compilation of cryosphere information relevant to the activities of WMO and prepare communication materials (web-based, brochures, visuals, etc.);
Assist in the compilation of relevant references to enable the development of impact-based indicators of change in the cryosphere and the available datasets.
Assist with the development and maintenance of Cryosphere and GCW webpages, on the WMO webpages.
Assist with the engagement of experts from different WMO activities on topic related to cryosphere, including data aspects, standardization, etc. as necessary.
Assist in preparing and presenting summaries of information and presentations, as assigned by the supervisor.

This opportunity is for a minimum of 4 months with a possibility for extension.
