We are pleased to advertise two funded PhD opportunities in glaciology at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.


·         Iceberg calving in West Antarctica (Supervisor: Doug Benn)


·         How does submarine melting affect marine terminating glaciers? (Supervisor: Tom Cowton)


Full funding, for UK and international students, is available through the NERC Iapetus2 Doctoral Training Partnership (


The application deadline is Friday 8th Jan 2021 at 5 pm (UK time), with an anticipated start date of September 2021.
