PhD position, Univ. Oslo, Arctic cryosphere

Within a Doctoral Programme at The Faculty of Mathematics and
Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo (UiO), and funded by EU Horizon
2020 under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) - Co-funding of
Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND)

a PhD position is available on the topic

"Incorporating real-time datastreams in modelling the state of the Arctic
cryosphere"

Requirements:
MSc in Geosciences, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Geomatics
or similar, with a strong background in numerical modelling.
Previous experience with cryosphere modelling is not a prerequisite
for the position, but experience with one or several of the following
topics is beneficial :
- cryosphere modelling,
- remote sensing of the cryosphere,
- data assimilation
