PhD position (oceanography) and postdoctoral position (sea ice) at the Norwegian Polar Institute

Laura de Steur

I like to draw your attention to the following positions at the Norwegian Polar Institute:

A PhD position (3 years) in physical oceanography with focus on quantifying the freshwater export from the Arctic Ocean through analysis of oceanographic time series from the East Greenland Current in Fram Strait:

A postdoctoral research position (2.5 years) in sea ice physics with focus on quantifying the sea ice export through analysis of sea ice thickness measurements and remote sensing products from the East Greenland Current in Fram Strait:

Both positions are part of the project "Freshwater export in an era of Arctic Ocean freshening and sea ice decline (FreshARC)" funded by the Norwegian Research Council.

Application deadline is 31st March, 2019.

Kind regards,

Laura de Steur
