As a mid-size university with 250 professorships and 19.000 students,
the University of Bremen is one of eleven universities having been
successful in the German Excellence Initiative. The Institute of
Geography invites applications for the following academic position

We are looking for a scientist who is equally enthusiastic about climate

To apply successfully, you will:

quantitative methods, or a PhD in natural sciences with previous
experience in an Earth science;

covering climate sciences;

- be able to teach in both German and English

It will be advantageous if you can demonstrate experience in:

- maintaining automated weather stations;
- applying for competitive, external funding;
- teaching at university level.

The University of Bremen is an equal opportunity employer and aims
particularly at increasing the share of female faculty members in
research and teaching. Thus, qualified women are especially encouraged
to apply. International applications and those from candidates with a
migration background are explicitly appreciated. Candidates with
disabilities will be given preference in case of equal qualifications.

Please submit your application including the reference number, a letter
of motivation, CV (with copies of certificates), a one-page summary of
research and teaching vision, and contact details of two referees until
