The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher (Research Associate 0148) with research interests in sea ice prediction, analysis, and programming in Python. Experience with Python is required in this position. The research is supported by ONR. The successful applicant will be supervised by Professor Cecilia Bitz.  

Terms of appointment are for one (1) year, renewable for a second year, subject to performance and availability of funding. Successful applicants must hold a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences or a related field in order to assume a postdoctoral position. To hold a position of research associate at University of Washington, an employee must be within 6 years of receiving their terminal degree, unless an exception is approved by academic human resources.
