(UCL, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium) is seeking for a postdoctoral
Under the general guidance of Prof. Thierry Fichefet, who is one
of the Lead Authors of IPCC WG1 AR5 Chapter 12 (Long-term Climate
Change: Projections, Commitments and Irreversibility), this
postdoctoral fellow will contribute to :
the analysis (with publication in
peer-reviewed journals) of CMIP5 (http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/)
climate projections, with focus on high-latitude climate and
the preparation of the
second-order draft and final version of Chapter 12 of IPCC WG1
Applicants should have:
a PhD degree in the field of
global climate modeling;
a training and ability to
manipulate software tools for statistical analyses and
graphical representation of observational datasets and climate
an excellent English level (both
oral and written);
a strong disposition to
communicate with a group of peers.
The position will end on September 30,
2013, with possibility of renewal afterwards. The grant (incl.
full social security) will be commensurate with experience
according to the UCL rates.
Expected date for entry on duty: as soon as possible.
