the Ice Sheet System Model (issm.jpl.nasa.gov) team is organizing a town-hall meeting at the
AGU Portland next week, on Monday, December 12, 2018, at 6:30pm, Oregon Convention
The goal of this town hall meeting is to provide a forum for scientists interested in using the
Ice Sheet System Model (ISSM, issm.jpl.nasa.gov) to carry out modeling in the field of Sea-Level
Rise. Updates on recent developments regarding ice-flow modeling, GIA and ESA modeling,
Sea-Level modeling using the ISSM-SESAW approach, and other types of couplings between
Glaciers/Ice Sheets and Sea Level will be presented. If time allows, a small clinic will be organized for scientists
who wish to learn about ISSM or install it on their machine. Extensive support will be provided
after the Town Hall.
