Session reminders

Jack Kohler
Dear Colleagues
I would just like to commend Ian Allison for his sending a single reminder about the upcoming abstract deadline for ALL snow and ice sessions at the IUGG.
Reminders for individual meeting sessions at AGU, EGU, etc have simply been getting out of hand of late. It is understandable that conveners want to promote their sessions, but this just leads to an unnecessarily large number of emails from Cryolist as the deadline nears.
So with apologies for yet another Cryolist email, and a reminder about the Cryolist guidelines: http://cryolist.org/posting/
Cheers,
-Jack

Subject: [CRYOLIST] Cryospheric sessions at IUGG General Assembly, June-July 2011
There is a wide range of symposia of interest to ice and snow scientists during the IUGG General Assembly in Melbourne, Australia, 28 June 4 July 2011. These symposia, sponsored or co-sponsored by the International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS), are detailed at http://www.iugg2011.com/program-iacs.asp.
The abstract submission deadline is on February 1. Already more than 1800 abstracts have been submitted for the total General Assembly.
We look forward to meeting you in Melbourne.
Ian Allison
President, IACS
