Full-Time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Climate Change – Physical Geography


The Department of Geography at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting 1 July 2011.


We seek a physical geographer with a research focus on climate change impacts on terrestrial environments. The successful applicant will be engaged in research that emphasizes climate change dimensions of hydrology, disturbance, alpine environments and/or arid landscapes.  The ability to collaborate with faculty within the Department of Geography www.geog.utah.edu and participate in interdisciplinary research at the University of Utah is highly desirable. Also desirable is the ability to teach introductory cartography, spatial analysis or a lower-division service course in the candidate’s general area of expertise.
