User Notice: Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves data at NSIDC

USO-NSIDC
Dear Colleague,

The Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 1 data set available at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) has recently been updated, extending the data record to 01 April 2019. This update fixes a data processing lapse that occurred between 01 October 2019 and 01 April 2019.

The Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 1 data set represents a selected subset of available MODIS and past AVHRR scenes, generally the clearest and most informative available for major Antarctic ice shelves. The scenes are derived from AVHRR/MODIS (1992-2009) and MODIS (March 2000 to present) visible and thermal channels and have been enhanced by combining two channels using principal components processing.
