The Department of Environmental Sciences at The University of Toledo invites applications for a full time, one-year position (AY 2012-2013) with the possibility of annual reappointment. We seek a broadly-trained geoscientist who studies physical processes that operate on the Earth’s surface. Primary teaching responsibilities include introductory physical and environmental geology and possibly upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s specialty. The Department has over 30 geology majors as part of its 200 majors. Completion of a Masters’ Degree in Earth Sciences or related field required; a Ph.D is strongly preferred. We seek an enthusiastic individual dedicated to teaching, who integrates classroom, field, and laboratory approaches to teaching students.
