Visualization is an increasingly important activity for understanding complex geoscience data, and for communicating results to a variety of audiences. We are excited to announce that, following an immensely popular session at the 2012 conference, the next European Geoscience Union conference (Vienna, 7-12 April 2013, www.egu2013.eu) will feature a whole new sub-programme dedicated to visualization. The sub-programme will feature sessions on many different aspects of visualization, including knowledge discovery, visualization tools and infrastructures, virtual reality and more. We encourage submissions from all areas of geoscience and beyond, from geoscientists and visualization experts alike.
We hope that you will consider submitting an abstract to one or more of these sessions, and we’d be very grateful if you could forward this announcement to your contacts.
The abstract submission deadline is *January 9th*, and the website for submission is here: http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2013/sessionprogramme/ESSI. (Abstracts are quite short and full papers will not be required.)
We hope to see you in Vienna!
