Web Developer - Polar Data Catalogue, Waterloo, Ontario

The Canadian Cryospheric Information Network/Polar Data Catalogue at the University of Waterloo currently has an opening for a Web Developer (see https://www.ccin.ca/home/sites/default/files/jobs/web_dev_job_ad_may_2017.pdf for full job ad). The ideal candidate will have programming experience in a web development environment and will manage database development to support the web applications.
Technologies include Java, Spring, Tomcat, Apache, JavaScript, OpenLayers, PHP/Drupal, and PostgreSQL. Knowledge of Linux and GIS/geospatial data processing are critical, as are being proactive and dedicated to use of best practices in open source development and security.
This is a full-time grant-funded position with benefits located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The position is available immediately and continues through March 2018, with continuation possible depending on performance and availability of funds.
