announcing Parallel Ice Sheet Model (PISM) version stable0.4

Edward Bueler
Dear CRYOLIST readers,

We are pleased to announce the release of the Parallel Ice Sheet Model
(PISM) version "stable0.4".  See

   www.pism-docs.org

for complete information including download instructions.  PISM can be
installed by Debian packages or from source.  Technical help is
available through  [hidden email].

The website also has a changelog from stable0.3.  The most significant
change is the merge with PISM-PIK.

PISM is in use by a growing international user base.  For a sample of
projects, see

     www.pism-docs.org/wiki/doku.php?id=projects

PISM is a joint project of developers at the University of Alaska,
Fairbanks and at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
(PIK). Development is supported by NASA's Modeling, Analysis, and
Prediction (MAP) program, grant #NNX09AJ38G.

Best Regards,

Ed Bueler
Constantine Khroulev
Andy Aschwanden
and the PISM authors
