Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstracts to Session CR4.2 focusing on sea ice and snow processes at the vEGU21 (virtual) conference 19-30 Apr 2021.
This session highlights advances in our understanding of seasonal atmosphere-snow-ice-ocean interactions in a coupled climate system using observational, remote sensing, and modeling tools. In particular, we aim to showcase first results from the 2019-2020 MOSAiC expedition. Studies from other efforts investigating snow and sea ice processes and their roles in atmosphere, ocean, ecological and biogeochemical systems are also most welcome.

Abstract Deadline: 13 Jan 2021, 13:00 CET
During vEGU21, all sessions will run in the new EGU virtual PICO (vPICO) session format with display materials uploaded prior to the start of the meeting. Sessions will be divided in time blocks of about 20 abstracts each. All time blocks will start with 2-minute presentations by all authors who have abstracts in that time block, moderated by a chairperson. Following the 2-minute presentations, each abstract will have a breakout webinar during which questions to individual authors can be posted.
Best wishes,
Maddie Smith (University of Washington), Martin Schneebeli (WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF), Melinda Webster (University of Alaska Fairbanks)
